What’s on the General Assembly’s mind this week?

We are updating this section to provide you with more information about all going on at the General Assembly. Make sure to click on the “Learn More” link below.

The 2019 legislative crossover deadline has come and gone with both chambers wrapping up their work well in advance of Thursday. Both the House and Senate worked at a less haired pace than in previous sessions, but that didn’t mean they didn’t move a significant number of bills forward. Also, following the passage of the House budget last week, the NC REALTORS® lobbying team has completed some additional analysis on the included provisions.

REALTORS® Legislative Meetings next week!

REALTORS® from across the country will descend on Washington, DC next week for the REALTORS® Legislative Meetings and Expo. This will be the opportunity for more than 200 NC REALTORS® to engage with their members of Congress, as well as hear the latest from experts on important advocacy issues.

NC REALTORS® has put together a comprehensive page for attendees and members alike which detail all that is going on next week. Also, be on the look-out for pictures from the week’s events on all NC REALTORS® social media pages and for a full recap in a future Advocate.

NC REALTORS® PAC Fundraising Spotlight

How do you #BackthePAC?

Fun for all NC REALTORS® PAC investors! The Jacksonville Association of REALTORS® had an awesome time playing yard pong with all investments going to support NC REALTORS® PAC on May 1st. Members had an opportunity to win various prizes based on their yard pong skills. The event raised over $1,500 and it was a huge success.
